We are there as the first of four events run by Ania Bas as part of her artist residency at Parson Cross. Saturday 18th Feb 2012 – Come down to the Site Gallery between 5-7pm to see what 10 artists have been up to in the gallery space over the last couple of weeks. Drinks, nibbles & activities to take part in – plus your chance to write on the gallery walls (in pencil and keep it clean mind!). It has been an amazing 2 weeks with an incredibly broad range of artist-led participation work. Talk to/find out about:
- Sally about her soil surgeries,
- Lyn about the hidden Sheffield participants discovered over the timeframe,
- Steve about his evolving meditations,
- Smizz & I about our subvertising project,
- Charlotte about her libraries research
- Hannah about making art in response to instructions from the public,
- Ruthie’s discoveries of people’s histories through craft (I found myself talking about my primary school experiences whilst creating a pom-pom – I’ve not done one of those for years!)
- Emily about her work making sculptures with kids,
- Adam about his Co-fragilities project where he facilitated people to phone-in performances to the gallery.

They also have a rather nice cafe open until 4pm and one of their patrons is Jarvis Cocker – how can you resist?!
