I am a Fine Artist/ geographer/ experimental thinker/ critical designer/ …… doing interesting things so that interesting things may follow.
My current explorations are around the interplay between text and image with a passion for creating artist books – seeking to push the book form to communicate different ideas.
I was shortlisted for the Sheffield International Artist Book Prize in 2015. In 2016 my work appeared at the PAGES Leeds: International Contemporary Artists’ Book Fair (represented by the Paper Gallery). In 2017 my work was exhibited as part of the In the Open exhibition at the SIA Gallery in Sheffield.
In addition to this I have worked on a number of book design projects including work on the exhibition catalogue for Brazilian artist Gê Orthof – ‘many splendoured thing’ at the Portico Library 2016. In 2018 I worked on Route 57: Issue 14 – Locomotion (2018) – a book project as part of the Railway Cultures Project for the University of Sheffield working with the National Railway Museum in York.
This year I have been involved in designing Route 57: Issue 15 – Environs Modern Natures – an anthology of writing from the University of Sheffield working in collaboration with The Hepworth, Wakefield.
